And I don't mean that in the super excited kind of way, I mean that in the it was fun at points, drama-filled at others, and I am still confused over some of it...I'll give the play-by-play by days (some details are going to be left out because they are the ones that I'm still confused by and I am still praying about them, so I don't want to say anything about them just yet...)
This is going to be a long one!! But there are pictures to look at :)
Friday:
I got up early so that I could go workout and take a shower and start my homework before my roommates got back from class. Well, after I finished with one part of my workout I got a call from my professor telling me that the class conflict that I have for next semester--two of my required classes overlap by 20 minutes--is unavoidable and I need to see what I can come up with and meet with him to talk over and brainstorm what to do with my remaining semester(s) here at Baylor. Originally I had planned to do a Child Life Internship my last semester at Baylor, meaning that I would not actually be in Waco, but that I would be somewhere else, preferably a northern state. Well, with this new conflict it is beginning to look more and more like me staying in Waco for that spring semester while I take one of the classes that overlaps along with 9 other hours for a total of 12 hours so that I can still be considered a full time student. I had been planning that last semester internship since I switched from pre-med to Child and Family studies after freshman year, so this changes everything! And I'm still praying that God reveals His plan to me, because obviously my plan was not what he had in mind.
watch a great show that is put on every year in which many of the sororities and fraternities perform musical acts. It was great! There were sixteen acts this year, and I knew people in half of them!! It took four hours and two intermissions before the shAfter that upsetting and year-altering phone call I couldn't workout anymore, so I walked back to my apartment to take a shower, and unfortunately one of my roommates was back early, so I didn't get the apartment to myself. After my shower I did some homework, but not much since it was particularly hard to focus. After about 3 hours of reading I decided it was time to quit the homework and watch a movie, so my roommate and I did. Then at 6:00 we went to campus toow was over, but it was a lot of fun. Here are some of the best photos (out of the 250 that Ashley/I took!)
So, that was Friday...
Saturday:
I slept in, and that was great! When I woke up I was told by one of my roommates that here dad and step mom were in Hillsboro on their way here to see her and take her out to lunch before we went bowling and then to the Baylor vs. Purdue baseball game. I quickly dressed before her parents arrived. When they did I was invited to go to lunch with them, so I did. We ended up at James Avery so that my roommate could pick out a cross necklace as a present for her baptism--which is why the parents were there--that was happening on Sunday. After James Avery we met up on campus with another friend to go bowling. It was fun, as usual! Then my roommate and I headed to the baseball game at 3:00 to see the bears take on Purdue while her parents went to their hotel to rest and our friend did her errands. The game was amazing, and it was a lot of fun, it was just what I needed to take my mind off of my class crisis...

We won the game in the 11th inning with a score of 11-10...There was a grand slam in the 4th, and that was really neat; then in the 10th Purdue's catcher attempted to throw the ball to first to get our runner out, but instead he pelted the guy in the back of the head (luckily he had a helmet on!!) and unfortunately the umps counted him out!! But we won in the end, so it was all good :)
We ended up beating Purdue again on Sunday, so it was a sweep for the Bears to start off the season!
Later that night we watched--and fell asleep during--a movie...so we called it a night.
Sunday:
Sunday morning my roommate finally got baptized. She has been a believer for years, but she was baptized as an infant, and she used to believe that that was enough, but God revealed to her that she needed a believers baptism, so she did it. That meant more family--since her dad and step mom were already here for it--as in her mom and four younger siblings, and the man that used to be her step dad but he and her mom are now divorced, so I'm not really sure what to call him. I had to play hostess/referee between the two because there is lingering animosity over the first divorce between the biological parents, but that is a whole other topic. After church it was finally time to sit down and do homework, which I did. I got one of the three things done that I needed to, and then I decided to play guitar hero on the Wii--it was at and after church that the confusing stuff happened (don't worry, you'll know the details when I have them figured out...just be praying that I do, and that I follow
whatever God has planned for me, even if it is what I think I don't want, because what He can do is better than anything that I can imagine!)
Today:
Rather uneventful, just worked out twice and went to class twice. Tomorrow I am going on a mandatory trip for one of my classes to Austin to visit the capital, and I am not looking forward to it because I am going to have to miss 5 classes, and therefore makeup 5 classes worth of work! But its a required thing and there is no make up for it, maybe I'll get lots of homework done on the bus ride to Austin...doubt it...Then tomorrow night is Bible study, Wednesday is studying for Thursday's Chem test and working on make up work and working at the fundraiser for my honor society in the afternoon, then working at church in the evening. Thursday is class, including chem test. Friday is...who knows, it is only Monday and I can't look that far in advance just yet, it would get me too worked up and I would not be able to focus.
Ok, I know that was long, and I'm sorry--there are bound to be some more long ones in the future--believe me, it took me all day to write it, so I know it took you a while to read it, but I appreciate how much you care about me by doing so.
