"Sarah's Baby"

Ha, the title of this post has probably got some of you wondering...

Seriously!? Of course I don't have a baby! I have a RyLeigh :) She just thinks she's mine, and that is perfectly wonderful to me! She's my surrogate kid. Well, today my parents and my baby came to Waco to visit me, mainly because I won't see my Dad again until the end of May, but also because my baby has been wanting to see me since the last time I left her, which was spring break. We had a wonderful visit, we went to Chick fil A and then to Cameron Park Zoo. Here are some of the pictures from the day.

It was a load of fun, and a great reason for me not to get started on my ten page research paper that is due on Tuesday!

Sadly, I no longer have a valid excuse for putting off said paper, so I must go write...

Dia Pictures

Hope you have a happy Dia!

Happy Diadeloso!
For those of you not connected with Baylor, check here to find out more about the wonderful Diadeloso...

It is a well-deserved day off of classes just before the end of the semester tests us all. This year it was "old school Dia". There were games that none of us had played since we were little, such as four square and slip and slide :)

Pictures will be uploaded later, Blogger is having technical difficulties...

I love Jesus!!!

I totally know where I'm going this summer...

ITS DC!!! AHHHHHH!!!

I'm super excited and I thank you all for your prayers for my interview :) Now start praying that I glorify God throughout the whole experience. There will be much to write then, so there should be continuous updates this summer :P

Flat Broke...

Being a student is no fun. It means lots of work, and instead of getting paid for said work you must pay to do it. I know, people keep telling me that it will pay in the end, but being flat broke at this point I can't seem to see the end of the tunnel. I know the light is there, I just can't see it.

Why am I flat broke you ask??

Well this is why:

Isn't it gorgeous!!! That, and gas prices, is why I'm broke. It is a major achievement to be graduating from Baylor University in a year, and this ring is a symbol of it that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Once that ring is on it is never coming off. Especially since I am paying for it all on my own; me, the full-time, job-less, flat-broke college student. I guess it will make it that much more precious to me. I've earned that ring, in more ways than one. And, I won't be able to get a job this summer to pay for it because of my practicum responsibilities--by the way, I won't be at TX Scottish Rite, they didn't want me, but I'm still waiting to hear from DC, and my next interview is Friday.

Why can't we just barter like in the old days??

Yet another quick note...

I love these quick notes!

Well, I sent in applications for child life practicums, and as of April 18th I will have had three interviews!!! I received interviews from all three places I applied, yikes, that's awesome! My last interview is April 18th at Children's Medical Center in Dallas...Pray that I get accepted where God wants me to serve :)

NASCAR

Deep down inside I am truly a redneck...I love NASCAR!!! I was privileged enough to be able to go to Sundays Samsung 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. It was awesome! I loved it, and I can't wait to go again...except next time I want to have a pit pass and be in a suite on the pit side. Our seats weren't awful, they could have been better, but they also could have been worse. We did get sunburned, but how else would I show of my redneckness :P
Here are some pics from the event...lets see if you can tell who my favorite driver is :)

Hehe...I do love Dale Jr. ;P

Another quick note...

I got another child life practicum interview!!! This one's in Washington DC!!! Its the one I really really want :) But continue to pray that I get one wherever God wants me to serve.

Also, be looking for pictures sometime next week...I'm heading to Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday to see the Samsung 500!! And I'm super excited, so I'll probably take pictures until my camera is full or dies, which ever comes first :P

Hope you have a great weekend!

April showers...

And I don't mean rain. My April showers are coming in the unwanted form of papers, projects, and tons of homework. I'll give you a glance into my April: it started off pretty much how it's going to go for the whole month, April 1st I had a 6 page research paper due as well as an American Literature exam, and currently I am awaiting an email from one of my group project members about the powerpoint for the presentation--I hate group projects!!--I mean, the presentation is TOMORROW and she doesn't have it done yet...hopefully we're not doomed, this counts for 20% of my grade.
All of my days are pretty much crazy like that, there is only one day out of the whole month (and thats not till the 29th) that I only have one thing due, with the exception of the amazing Diadeloso (for those of you not familiar with that wonderful Baylor holiday, it is just a random Thursday that we get off from classes in an attempt to let us keep our sanity :D).
I have a huge dry erase calender so that I can see whats coming up, and it is really scaring me. I designated orange to be my classwork color, and it has overtaken the calender! I think that I am going to be stressed out until after finals, which means I'll be cranky until May 13th--though, my 21st birthday is on the last day of classes, then there are two dead days before finals starts, so hopefully I can destress a little :)

Well, I must sleep now, I've got an 8am and I won't be done until I am home (Crowley) for the weekend most likely around 8pm...I'll be home for the race at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday :D
