Chicago!!

I will post much more about this after the new year, but I am in Chicago! :D

This is my first time to the city and I am visiting a great friend of mine that I go to college with, so I am having a lot of fun.
When I first got here there was no snow, but it was cold! However it snowed the day after I arrived, so the ground has been beautifully white for two days now, and I absolutely LOVE it!!
I got to go shopping on "the Magnificent Mile" today, and it was exhausting! Tomorrow I am going skiing in Wisconsin, and I'm pretty excited. I also got to go ice skating outside in downtown last night, and that was fun too (except for the blister on my leg from the hockey skates...)

But its late now, so like I said, I will write more when I get back home in the new year!!

Hope you all have an amazing New Year!!

This Past Weekend

Well last weekend Brian graduated from college!! yikes, now he is going to have to be an adult, especially since he got a "real" job!

It was really great to see Brian walk across that stage and know that he did it. All his hard work paid off.

It also made me think of how close my own graduation from Baylor is. Only two semesters of class left, then to an internship and then I'm done. Its scary and exciting to think that in just one and a half years I will be truly out on my own in the "real world" making (hopefully!) a good amount of money so that I can support myself. Wow, thats just crazy! I just want to take a minute and remind all of you to truly thank the Lord for all you have. I know that sometimes it can be hard, but there are also times when things are truly great, there are those amazing moments where you know that God has worked and is still working in your life. I know that I am feeling one of those moments right now. Thinking about the future always leads me to pray for the future and what it holds for me. I thank all of you for your prayers while I am here at college, you are truly a blessing in my life.

I pray that all of you are having an amazing week and I encourage you to keep your chin up through this Christmas season :D

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Well, I am home for the Christmas break!! YAY! It's been a while since I updated, but there is some stuff to tell...I finished off the semester with a good GPA, not exactly what I had hoped for, but how can I complain about a 3.8? I just wish that all of my hard work (see post below) studying for the Political Science final had paid off and gotten me an A instead of a B+...but a B+ is not bad at all--especially since the last test is really the only one I actually studied for :D
Being back home for Christmas is good, it's also a little strange sometimes. Instead of getting home to an apartment that may or may not be empty I come home to a house that, at least for the next week, will definitely not be empty. And, instead of only having to really think about myself and what I want and need I must take into account the wants and needs of my parents and my brother. I love coming home for the holidays, but I definitely like living on my own where I am the adult and I do what I want...I don't know how much I will get on here over the break, however most of you that read this will probably be seeing me quite a bit while I am home :D

My Brain Hurts...

Studying has made my brain hurt!! The above picture is where I have been studying for the past eight hours (minus one hour for a bowling break), can you tell where I have been sitting--I'll give you a hint, its the place that looks like a bum has been there...

The lovely wall covering is the notecards I decided to make for my Political Science final that is on Monday at 9:00am:

There are 42 green notecards stuck to my wall because there are 42 court cases that I am supposed to memorize!! Yikes.

And, I will be adding purple notecards to the wall tomorrow because I am also supposed to know the bold words in the chapters. I think I might have to move my pictures to fit it all on the wall!!!

Today was a crazy day that has lasted a pretty long time...I woke up this morning and ran (and got shin splints) and did leg presses and leg lifts, then I got a call from a friend asking me to follow her to Temple because her car's check engine light came on and her car was shaking and Temple is the closest VW shop. So I drove to Temple and back. Then I studied for hours before I took a bowling break with a new friend. Then I came back to my apartment and studied more. Now I am here instead of studying or sleeping...

As I said before, my brain hurts, and my eyes hurt, and my back, and my feet...man, I'm not even 21 yet and I'm falling apart!! (no, I am not turning into Jimmy for those of you who know what I'm talking about...)

Good night

Finals...

Continuous studying for two straight days is too hard...I am not a fan of dead days.
Finals start tomorrow, I have two, one at 9am and the other at 2pm. However I am not motivated to hunker down and really study for either. Heck, I am not motivated to study for my other two finals that are happening on Monday either...I figured out yesterday that two of my classes it will be next to impossible for me to get anything but A's, and the other two I'm most likely going to get B+'s no matter how I do on the finals...

I am ready to be home for the five week break :D

Well, I guess I'll go study now...
